Get It Loud In Libraries have many years of experience of putting on gigs in libraries and cultural venues up and down the country, this toolkit and supporting resources passes on our teams knowledge and expertise direct to you. It includes step-by-step guides, templates, demonstration videos, session plans and much more.
Access to the toolkit is granted to libraries who are part of our core programme and those who are licensed to use our materials as part of our Get It Loud In Libraries indie programme.

The Toolkit
The toolkit is divided into three sections, each covering a different area of staging live music events in libraries and other cultural venues.
Part One takes you behind-the-scenes of a Get It Loud In Libraries gig, and walks you through what libraries can expect when delivering a live gig.
Part Two explores how you can develop a team to programme and deliver your own gigs, using the Get It Loud In Libraries branding.
Part Three provides some useful practical advice and workshop plans for running participatory cultural activities and training for young people.
Workshop Resources
To support the deliver of digital engagement workshops for young people we have produced a range of handouts and video resources to help aid their learning.
Evaluation and Monitoring (Workshops)
It is important when delivering workshops for young people that you evaluate and monitor them effectively. These resources support this by offering a range of ways in which you can ascertain quantitative and qualitative feedback from participants. This will help you see if you are meeting your aims and enhance your offer in the future.
Comment Cards
These comment cards are a great way of capturing feedback from our audiences. Use them at the end of gigs to gather quickly gather useful material for evaluation and audience development purposes.
Poster Templates
We've put together some simple poster templates that you can edit in Microsoft Word to promote your gigs. If you are a dab hand at design, why not make your own? Just remember to put all the relevant logos on it and the key details of the gig.

Press Releases
It's important that we get the word out there about our gigs. These guides and templates to writing press releases will help you communicate your gigs to local media.

Risk Assessments
Doing a thorough risk assessment is key to running a successful gig that keeps everyone - the audience, the artist, the tech staff, volunteers and workers - safe. Use our template to help you to do this.
Gig Report Form
If you are running gigs as part of the indie programme you will need to complete a Gig Report form and return it to the Get It Loud In Libraries team for each gig you run. This helps us to monitor our progress and supports audience development.
